HAPPY EASTER AND HOLY WEEK!!!

Hello again my dear students!!!

Although a bit late, here you have two pages where you can find some information about how Easter and the Holy Week are celebrated in Britain. I guess you don't know what the Easter Bunny, Easter eggs, Palm Sunday, Good Friday or Holy Saturday are. Have a look at these pages below to learn how different Easter and Holy Week celebrations are in Britain and Spain.

http://www.woodlands-junior.kent.sch.uk/customs/easter.html

"Easter is the oldest and the most important Christian festival, the celebration of the death and coming to life again of Jesus Christ. For Christians, the dawn of Easter Sunday with its message of new life is the highest point of the year".

"Holy Week is the week leading up to Easter, commemorating events in the last days of Christ's life. The first day of Holy Week is Palm Sunday (Domingo de Ramos). "

And what about the Holy Week here in Spain? Do you like it? What do you like the most about it? Do you prefer Easter in Spain or in Britain?

I'M WAITING FOR YOUR COMMENTS!!!!

Here you have also a video of our 'Holy Week' in Seville. It is about 'San Gonzalo', one of my neighbourhood's "cofradias".
